ParvProGallery > Molten lava meets the Pacific Ocean; this photograph was taken from about 10 feet away from the lava flow. The white 'steam' is actually highly-toxic sulfuric acid fumes and I had a charcoal-activated gas mask on, goggles and heat-resistant full body suit for taking this set of photographs. Nikon F-100, Fuji Velvia, Bogen-Manfrotto tripod, 1 sec exposure.
